Solo Travel

This stunning beauty sits elegantly on the north coast of Spain, in the Basque Country. Now you might ask what is Basque Country?? Well, let’s see, predating the Romans, there was and is an autonomous community in the north of Spain, they have very strong cultural traditions, own cuisine, and own language.[/vc_column_text][us_single_image image=”4167″ align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row height=”small” seperator_indeed_locker=”” lk_t=”ism_template_1″ lk_io=”default” lk_dm=”0″ lk_thm=”0″ lk_tuo=”0″ ru_on=”0″ uhc_on=”0″ ur_on=”0″ ref_on=”0″][vc_column][vc_column_text]Oh wait there is more, San Sebastian is world has known for its cuisine, different from the rest of Spain, influenced by the French, cooked with all local produce and traditional techniques. Chiefs and cooks from all over the world come here to try this unique and yet very delightful food. From Michelin star restaurants to vibrant pintxo bars paring local wines with bite-size regional specialties which are sure to leave your taste buds dancing for hours.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row height=”auto” seperator_indeed_locker=”” lk_t=”ism_template_1″ lk_io=”default” lk_dm=”0″ lk_thm=”0″ lk_tuo=”0″ ru_on=”0″ uhc_on=”0″ ur_on=”0″ ref_on=”0″][vc_column][us_single_image image=”4166″ align=”center”][vc_column_text]

Let us go try some pintxos…. first, stop Bar Zeruko then head to Bar Fuego Negro (must try banana chips) then Bar Paco Bueno and my final stop, Alona Berri. There are hundreds of bars to choose from in the old town and beach front, remember to be adventurous. The locals showed me the traditional way of eating pintxo, you point to the food on the bar, in some cases you pick the one you want to try, match it with the wine and you are on your way, one thing I found a bit unsettling was after you wipe your hands on the serviettes you throw it on the floor together with any toothpicks that might have come with your food, but its tradition….:)[/vc_column_text][us_single_image image=”4169″ align=”center”][vc_column_text]Solo Travel
