Highs and Lows of Las Vegas

Las Vegas is known as the ultimate adult’s playground. People from all over the world come here for the party of there life, why else would this city be known as sin city. Las Vegas is a metropolitan city, in the southern part of North America, state of Nevada. The landscape is desert, valley, mountains and the weather here can get very hot in Summer.

Let me say this before I go any further. If you haven’t visited Las Vegas, you are not missing out on much. I have a philosophy; you must attend and do everything at least once in your life and visiting Las Vegas comes under that. I have visited, I have seen, I have ticked been to Las Vegas, I am not going back. For me, I like to visit places that inspire me, that challenges me to grow within me and leave the place as a more soulful person.

The Things you can do when in Las Vegas

(1) Visit the Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas Boulevard is one of the most famous streets in the entire world. The street is lined with high-end hotels, restaurants, shopping arcades, shops, cafes, restaurants, casinos, etc. The best way to get the feel of this Las Vegas vibes is to walk the Strip. Just like any city, Las Vegas comes to life at night. Even though it is a city that does not sleep. I would recommend visiting the Stip at night. Just be aware of the fact that you are in Vegas, out at night.

(2) Bellagio Hotel – Dancing Fountain

Bellagio Fountain is an 8- acre lake with an elegant dancing water fountains. The best time to visit is after sunset, so you can enjoy the lights, the music and appreciate the show of the dancing fountain. It gets hectic especially during summer months, give yourself enough time to get to the front of the line for great views. Watching this dancing fountain is free.

(3) The Shark Reef Aquarium

The Aquarium is located at Mandalay Bay. This Aquarium is one of the largest in North America, where visitors experience an almost 360-degree view. Magnificent aquatic creatures, including 100 sharks, (15 species in all) along with exotic fish, reptiles and sea turtles. Featuring more than 2,000 animals, Shark Reef Aquarium is comprised of nearly 1.6 million gallons of water in 14 exhibits, including rare Golden Crocodiles, Piranha, a Touch Pool Experience and over 30 sharks in our 1.3 million gallon Shark Exhibit. Perfect for families or people who love sea life.

(4) Visit – The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

The Mirage hotel has an iconic man-made set up where every 30mins you can see an erupting volcano. This casino hotel is adjacent to the famous, Caesars Palace. I recommend you visit this at night. It is much better with the dark sky, the fire-breathing volcano with music and the vibes are a lot more fun. Again this is free.

5) Adventuredome Theme Park in Las Vegas.

The adventure dome is perfect for those thrill seekers or big kids and families. Dome-covered thrill rides & amusements are spread over five acres of the Climate-controlled amusement park at Circus Circus featuring rides, arcade, & miniature golf.

(6) Dine at Paris Las Vegas.

Paris Las Vegas is French-themed casino hotel with half-sized Eiffel Tower and elegant casino, 2-acre rooftop pool in a French style garden and an indoor Parisian style street with live entertainment and shopping. You can dine in any of the restaurants here, and I picked the French food option. Do not expect excellent service when you are dining here; it is not France.

(7) Try your luck at a casino in Las Vegas.

Every hotel in Las Vagas, has a casino, from budget to luxury. You can pick any casino. Just keep in mind, smoking is legal inside casinos. People do not care if you are none smoker, the smoke is everywhere. Afterward, all your clothes, hair and even skin smell of smoke, although you haven’t smoked yourself. I was not game enough to lose money, and could not stand all the smoke, so my gambling experience lasted for ten mins.

(8) Go to a show / Musical or production in Las Vegas.

In Las Vegas, you are sure to find something of interest every night of the week. The most popular seemed to be the Cirque du Soleil. The tickets were sold out for weeks in advance. If you are planning on going to this, make sure you get your tickets on time. Most of the other shows you can buy a day before.

(9) Visit The Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas.

Go window shopping or shopping at the Grand Canal Shopping mall inside The Venetian Hotel and Casino and The Palazzo on the Strip. The mall is a make believe the experience of visiting Venice, Italy. Don’t forget to look up and admire the clear blue sky even in the middle of the night… :). It is just something different and again very artificial like the rest of Las Vegas.
