Gorgeous Genoa, Italy.

Genoa was founded in 4th century BC. Genoa meaning “Door” in Latin ianua. This thrilling coastal city sits on the northwest of Italy’s Liguria, hugging the edges of Ligurian Sea, which is an arm of the Mediterranean Sea. This city amazed me. Built on the cliff, famous for its port, which is the gateway to the Riviera for the adventurers and traders.

I was blown away by this city. The landscape of Genoa was extremely challenging, but somehow this city showed me how thinking outside the square could build an entire town on just a tiny little cliff overlooking the blue horizon.

Did you know???

Genoa is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus? Although Genoa is proud of plenty of other things, this is one thing they want the world to know and remember.
