LAKE GARDA – Bardolino, ITALY
In northern Italy lies the magical Lake Gard. You will find stunning historical settlements around Lake Garda. On the south end, you will discover Sirmione, Lazise, and Bardolino.
Did you know, Lake Garda was formed 1.5 million years ago?
That’s right, image that. A glacier, cutting through the valley, carving the shape of the Lake Garda. The Lake stretches out 143 square miles, and the deepest part is 919 feet below the surface.
I stayed at Bardolino, and the lakes cultural and historical diversity attracts a cosmopolitan crowd. Tourists are drawn to the captivating Lake Garda for its crystal clear waters and its magnificent mountains hugging the edges of the water with a blanket of snow covering the peaks over winter and spring.
